Community Casseroles runs regular Community Cook-ups in the Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne. We cook and freeze delicious meals to share with those in our community who might have had sudden changes in their lives and could do with a little kindness in the form of a home cooked meal.
The act of cooking and sharing meals is encouraging and nourishing for both the receiver of the meal and the cook. Sudden crisis, illness or a new baby can be very isolating for those who don’t have a supportive community around them. Making a meal can be an easy way to reach out to someone in your community who might be struggling without the support of their neighbours.
Our meals are provided for free to anyone in our area who asks. Our meals can be home delivered or picked up from our freezer space in Upwey.
Community Casseroles is about building community, connecting through meals.
